NixiKit is a virtual reality tool focused on reducing anxiety before a surgery.

DKV, as an insurer focused on innovation in health, has teamed up with Nixi for Children to reduce children's anxiety during surgery.
This is a virtual reality educational tool aimed at child patients under 13 years of age where, through virtual reality glasses and with the help of the character Nixi, children can get to know the operating room from the inside and visit the preoperative and recovery room to calm their anxiety before surgical procedures.
NixiKit is designed to be intuitive and quick to learn to use, even for the youngest children. The kit includes virtual reality goggles, a Nixi plush toy, an activity book, the access code to the patient platform, information capsules for family members, an instruction manual, three coloring pages and a certificate of bravery.
The Nixi for Children project was born with the goal of developing user-centered virtual reality experiences that help pediatric patients and their families develop positive emotional relationships with the hospital. Since 2019, more than 9,500 families have been helped in Spain, Chile and the United States, having achieved scientific validation through a clinical trial.
When you request an authorization for an operation for your child, be attentive to the approval email. In that same email you will see a section explaining the initiative and you will be able to access a form to request it. Remember that this service is included in your policy.
In addition, at DKV Club Salud y Bienestar, we offer you a 10% discount on stuffed animals. If your little one has an imminent pediatric surgery we recommend you to visit their website to reduce their anxiety with this experience.
